Description
DUO: charge two separate battery banks with 20A shared
The VIC-PWM-DUO-LCD-USB-12-24V-20A charges two separate battery banks from one solar array. It is suited to a house/service battery bank and a separate starter battery in an RV or boat.
20A is the total charging limit shared between both banks, not 20A per bank. The charge-current allocation is programmable. For example, with 20A available and a 50/50 allocation during bulk charging, each bank receives 10A. Actual current depends on available solar power and battery charging conditions.
How it differs from the standard 20A model
The standard VIC-PWM-LCD-USB-12-24V-20A charges one battery bank at up to 20A. Choose the DUO when the batteries must remain as two separate banks. Multiple batteries wired together as one bank do not require the DUO.
The DUO includes an external battery-temperature sensor. It has two battery-charging outputs rather than the standard model's dedicated DC load output. Both versions have an LCD and two USB ports rated at 5V, 2A combined.
Battery and solar compatibility
Supports 12V or 24V systems with programmable profiles for AGM, gel, flooded lead-acid and LiFePO4 batteries with an internal BMS. Observe the 28V/55V solar-input limits and configure LiFePO4 voltage manually. Follow the manufacturer's installation and charging instructions.
