Description
Standard vs DUO: one battery bank or two?
The VIC-PWM-LCD-USB-12-24V-20A charges one 12V or 24V battery bank at up to 20A. Multiple batteries connected together as one bank still use this single-bank model.
For two separate battery banks, such as an RV house bank and starter battery, choose the VIC-PWM-DUO-LCD-USB-12-24V-20A. The DUO shares a 20A total charging limit between both banks; it does not provide 20A to each bank. Its charging allocation is programmable, and an external battery-temperature sensor is included.
The standard model provides a dedicated DC load output with low-voltage disconnect and timer control. The DUO uses its battery terminals for two charging outputs instead of a separate DC load output. Both versions have an LCD and two USB ports rated at 5V, 2A combined.
Choose a Victron BlueSolar PWM LCD/USB controller for local battery charging control and clear on-screen monitoring. The series includes 20A and 30A models for 12V/24V batteries, plus a separate 20A model for 48V batteries.
The LCD provides access to programmable charging profiles and load-control settings. Two USB outputs share a 5V, 2A maximum. LiFePO4 settings require a battery with an internal BMS.
Select by both charging current and battery voltage. Solar-input limits differ: 28V with a 12V battery, 55V with a 24V battery, or 100V on the 48V model. Follow the manual when sizing the array.
