Engineered from the ground up, the Orion XS redefines adaptive DC-DC battery charging. Designed for vehicles with conventional or intelligent alternators, it compensates for voltage drops caused by long cable runs and ensures the auxiliary battery receives precise, controlled charging while protecting the starter battery from excessive discharge.
Integrated engine shutdown detection automatically activates the charger only when the alternator is supplying power, making it an excellent solution for modern Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles equipped with smart alternators.
The Orion XS features an adaptive 4-stage charging algorithm that automatically adjusts absorption time according to the battery's depth of discharge. It includes eight pre-programmed battery settings and fully programmable charging parameters through the VictronConnect App for maximum installation flexibility.
Built-in Bluetooth Smart allows wireless configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, and firmware updates using the VictronConnect App. The Orion XS also supports VE.Smart Networking for wireless battery voltage, temperature, and current sensing, while the VE.Direct port enables integration with Victron GX devices for advanced monitoring and remote diagnostics.
Multiple Orion XS chargers can be connected in parallel to increase total charging capacity, making the system easily expandable for larger installations.
