The GX Tank 140 is a tank level interface module that supports monitoring from up to four tank level sensors. It is designed as an accessory for Victron’s GX system monitoring range, most commonly used with the Cerbo GX, enabling centralized tank data integration within your energy system.
Tank levels can be viewed locally on the GX device interface and remotely through the VRM Portal, providing convenient on-site and off-site monitoring.
The GX Tank 140 supports both 4–20 mA current senders and 0–10 V voltage senders, offering broad compatibility with industry-standard tank sensors. Connection to the GX device is made via USB, which also supplies power to the unit—eliminating the need for separate power wiring.
Installation is straightforward. Two of the four inputs provide a built-in 24 V supply to power connected sensors directly. The remaining two channels require an external power source; dedicated power input terminals and fused outputs are included to simplify this setup.
Configurable upper and lower limits allow flexibility when using sensors that output only a partial range (for example, 0–5 V). To ensure stable and accurate readings, the system applies configurable signal damping, adjustable between 1 and 60 seconds.
The unit also enhances system reliability by detecting faulty sensors or wiring issues, triggering an alarm if readings fall outside expected ranges.
For marine installations, the GX device can transmit tank level data over the NMEA 2000 network, enabling display on compatible multi-function displays (MFDs) and other onboard monitoring systems.
